Military travelers & veterans
AmaWaterways offers, explained clearly. We’ll check the right departure and compare the final cost before you book.
Offer research checked October 12, 2026
For eligible military travelers sharing a stateroom on selected 2026 and 2027 departures. Ask for MIL2FOR1.
This is a cruise-fare offer, not a free all-in vacation for the second person. Port charges and extras still apply. It cannot be combined with other promotions. The flyer excludes A+, AA+, SA, SB, and Suites; the public terms limit 2-for-1 to individual bookings, not group reservations.
Another way to save
Ask for MIL250. Ama publishes this benefit across its river cruises, excluding Africa Safaris & Wildlife Cruises.
It can combine with eligible promotions, so we compare the actual total against the 2-for-1 fare. The biggest headline is not always the lowest price.
Active-duty, retired, and veteran service members need valid military ID or a discharge certificate. Do not upload those documents to our inquiry form. Your advisor will explain the supplier’s verification process. Offers are for eligible new reservations and remain capacity controlled.
From Ama’s October 2026 offer list
The sailings below appear on Ama’s published military promotion list. That confirms a place on the offer list—not an available cabin today. We still need to reconfirm space, cabin eligibility, and the fare with Ama.
Giurgiu to Budapest on AmaBella. Balcony categories showed space when checked October 12, 2026; the military fare still needs confirmation from Ama. This is not the classic Vienna-to-Nuremberg market route—ask which market visits are included.

AmaBella · 7 nights · Taste of Christmas
Ama labels these “Taste of Christmas.” They are different regional experiences, not substitutes for a German or Austrian market itinerary. This is a selected shortlist, not the entire offer list.

We have not verified a current, cruise-line-issued military-specific offer for either Viking or Avalon in the official material reviewed. We can still compare their regular promotions with Ama’s military fare. A military discount advertised by another agency is not automatically available through us.
Ask us to verify MILSOLO for your date. Ama’s current flyer describes a waived supplement while its public military page describes a 10% supplement. We will confirm the applicable terms before quoting either benefit.
