The Christmas Market of Nations — a globally-themed market in a Rhine gorge wine town.
Rüdesheim is the Rhine's most beloved wine town, tucked into the gorge between the castles. Its Christmas Market of Nations lines the famous Drosselgasse — a narrow lane of half-timbered wine bars — with stalls representing 25+ countries. The signature drink is Rüdesheimer Kaffee: coffee flamed with Asbach Uralt brandy and topped with whipped cream, invented here in 1957. Most Rhine sailings either overnight here or stop for the afternoon.
